2011 2nd Term Workshops
On June 25th Liz LaSorsa is offering a nuno felt class. This workshop will teach you the basic techniques of incorporating light-weight silk fabric with wool roving to make a designer scarf, wallet, small purse/pouch or wall art.
On July 30th Gin Christensen will explore collage work. If you “can’t” draw, this may be a way for you to have a whole lot of fun, express yourself visually and gain some personal insights into your life. You will take home a personalised treasure box
August 27th has screen printing with David Bell . Students will learn the basics of screen printing by making a two colour print for either a t-shirt or t-towel. You will also learn about the basic techniques of photographic emulsion screen printing.
October 15th with Deborah Illingworth. Learn how to make Jewellery or Decorations from Jovi (Synthetic air dry clay) and digital images, either sourced or created.

From Waiuku, follow the signs to Awhitu and continue following the signs to Orua Bay once you arrive at Matakawau. At Orua Bay, you will see a brown hand painted sign on the right just after the little store. Go through the gate and the road will take you to the Art Barn.
